Vital signs data collected by the wireless medical devices is transmitted wirelessly using Bluetooth (Class II) to a Mobile gateway (Smart phone or PDA) that forwards the data via Cellular communication (GPRS) or Internet (Wi-Fi) to the telemedicine monitoring center or the personal health record (PHR).

The database server can communicate with 3rd party applications using Web Services interface for easy integration with other medical systems.
